Play phem
When alternative music feels like it’s begging for a voice that’s both fearless and intimate, phem steps in with full force. Based in Los Angeles, phem has carved her own path sounds that pull from alt, punk, indie, and experimental pop.
She first emerged on the scene seriously with her debut EP Can’t Kill Me in 2018, about identity, fluidity, and self-discovery: themes she continues to explore with brave vulnerability. Early in her journey she also collaborated with rapper G-Eazy, co-writing and performing on tracks like Just Friends and Judge Me, which opened many doors for her.
Over the past few years, phem has expanded her artistic reach both as a solo performer and behind the scenes, writing and collaborating with a roster of diverse artists. Her credits include work with Machine Gun Kelly, Jxdn, Iann Dior, Palaye Royale, Steve Aoki, and Waterparks’ Awsten Knight, with whom she teamed up for the track cheerleader, a collaboration that highlights her knack for catchy hooks and genre fluidity.
Her own releases sail between vulnerability and punchy attitude. Projects like pheelings pt. 1, playing house, and standout singles such as slippery slope and donuts reveal an artist navigating emotional complexity with wit, grit, and melodies that stick. Each new track feels like a step forward, whether she’s questioning self-perception or leaning into life’s messy transitions.
Live, phem has proven she can connect on a visceral level. She’s hit the road supporting artists like Avril Lavigne on tour, bringing her performance to enthusiastic crowds across the UK and beyond.
What sets phem apart isn’t just genre range or lyrical honesty, it’s her ability to make listeners feel like they’re part of the music instead of just listeners. Her songs speak to the outcasts, to those who feel both inside and outside at the same time, and to anyone craving art that’s real.
phem reminds us that the beauty is in the edges, in the honest moments, the unfiltered lines, the tracks that feel like they were born from late nights and loaded feelings. And she’s only just getting started.
