Pallant grew up in Leeds in the United Kingdom and studied sound technology at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. Before focusing on photography, he worked in different areas of the music industry, including sound and lighting. This experience helped him understand how concerts work and made him very comfortable in backstage environments, where many of his photos are taken.

One of the most important moments in his career was when he started working with the British artist YUNGBLUD. Tom became his tour photographer and creative director, traveling with him around the world and documenting concerts, travel days, and everyday moments on tour. Because he spent so much time with the artist and the team, he was able to capture honest and personal images that show the real life behind the music industry.

In 2022, he released a photo book called All My Friends Have Deserted, which brings together photos taken during years on tour with YUNGBLUD.

During his career, Tom Pallant has also photographed well-known artists such as Blur, The Cure, and Avril Lavigne. His style is very unique and conveys emotion, often capturing artists in the middle of performances with strong lights, movement, and the excitement of the crowd.

His work has also been recognized in the music photography world, and he won the Abbey Road Music Photography Awards in 2023 and 2024.

Through his photos, Tom Pallant tells the story of music culture in a way only he can do, showing the importance of storytelling in music photography.
