Mulaa Joans Brings The Scarlet Mafia Tour to Paris

British singer and songwriter Mulaa Joans is one of the young artists bringing a fresh energy to the UK music scene. Known for her soulful voice, emotional lyrics and strong stage presence, she is currently taking her music across Europe with The Scarlet Mafia Tour.

On September 25, the tour stopped in Paris at La Bellevilloise, opening the night with a very intimate performance from London-based artist Orlando.

Performing with only his voice and piano, Orlando quickly caught the audience’s attention. His soft and velvety voice, combined with melancholic and emotional lyrics, created a quiet and intimate atmosphere.

There was something very simple and honest about his performance. Dressed in a white shirt, black tie and black trousers, he kept the focus on the music. Between songs, Orlando shared the stories and inspirations behind his music, giving the audience a closer look into his world.

The room stayed very quiet during his songs, followed by strong applause at the end of each performance. As the set went on, it became clear that his connection with the audience was one of the strongest parts of his performance.

After a short break, it was time for Mulaa Joans.

She came onto the stage running, bringing a completely different energy to the room from the very first second. Dressed in a black leather outfit, a white top, a leather jacket and a matching leather hat, she immediately took over the stage.

Joans kept the energy high throughout the entire set. She constantly interacted with the audience, accepted gifts from fans and seemed genuinely happy to share the moment with them.

Her set included songs from her previous EPs as well as newer material, giving the audience a look at different sides of her sound. One of the highlights of the night was her cover of “What’s Up?” by 4 Non Blondes, which quickly turned into a big singalong.

Among her own songs, “Love Letter” was one of the most emotional moments of the night. The song showed a softer side of Joans and stood out as a particularly personal moment in the set.

By the end of the night, the audience had gone through every kind of emotion: singing, screaming, dancing and simply enjoying the music together.

For her Paris stop, Mulaa Joans showed why her live performances are an important part of her growing world as an artist. There was emotion, energy and, most importantly, a clear connection between the artist and the people in the room.
