Yoa is a young Franco-Swiss singer-songwriter born and raised in Paris. Before focusing on music, she spent some time doing theatre, which helped shape the way she performs today. At the age of 26, her sound lives somewhere between pop and electro-pop, but it’s not just about catchy melodies, she writes about real situations we all face in real life: mental health, identity, break-ups and the mess of being young now.
She’s said she wanted to write songs that feel like they’ve always existed, that are raw and truthful. In terms of record-life, Yoa released EPs like Attente in 2021 and Chansons tristes in 2022 and then dropped her first full album La Favorite in January 2025. The album pushed her straight into the spotlight. Containing 15 songs and a richer sound, it even earned her the “Révélation scène” title at the 2025 Victoires de la Musique, France’s main annual music award ceremony.
On stage, she’s been catching a lot of attention since she played at major venues and festivals, including being on stage at Rock en Seine in 2024 and she had a date at the legendary Olympia Hall in Paris on 15 April 2025. Her tour calendar includes multiple dates across France (and even Switzerland) in 2025-2026, so she’s definitely stepping into the live-music spotlight. She signed with the label Panenka Music and at the end of 2022 released her second EP Chansons tristes.
Yoa has also been featured on several notable collaborations such as Rupture by Ben Mazué, Saisons by Bekar, Thelma et Louise by Solann, and Petit son doux by Olga Kiav and Tabulå Rønda. These collaborations further showcase her versatility and growing influence in the French music scene.
Her latest collab was with Solann, released in 2025. With honest songwriting, strong visuals, and a growing presence on major stages, Yoa is quickly becoming one of the most exciting new voices in French music and she’s just getting started.
