Ellie Dixon is really making her way in the alt-pop scene, and she’s doing it with wit, flair, and a whole lot of DIY magic.
Born in Foxton, Cambridgeshire, she’s the kind of multi-talented artist whose creativity bleeds into every beat she crafts.
Starting music production at age thirteen, thanks to her dad who set her up with software on the family desktop, Ellie embraced music in every facet. Launching her own EPs ("Looking Forward", "Jungle", "Growing Pains") while studying maths at Warwick, she was already laying the groundwork for something bigger, though ironically, she didn’t think she’d ever survive performance anxiety long enough for a music career.
Ellie’s charm isn’t just in her music, but in her inventive production. Think mugs as drums, rulers for bass, whisks and saucepans for percussion, she turns everyday kitchen staples into amazing beats. When lockdown hit, she switched to social media, specially TikTok, dissecting harmonies and flipping verses into viral content, and it worked.
Her breakout EP Crikey! It’s My Psyche dropped in 2021, followed by a signing to Decca Records in 2022. She’s since released tracks like Swing!, Big Lizard Energy, and the viral football chant “Jota on the Wing.” And she keeps doing it, with singles like Guts, Loose Change, and the EP Tales of a Knight in June 2025.
On TikTok and YouTube she’s a force, with over a million fans across platforms, millions of streams, and festival stages spanned from Glastonbury to international lineups. She’s even opened for big names like Pentatonix, Sam Ryder, Jack&Jack and Half Alive.
Right now, she’s taking her Knight Club Tour across Europe and the UK (kicking off in September), bringing her energy to fans in person.
