Play Amelia Moore

Singer and songwriter Amelia Moore is living proof that you should never doubt yourself, and that dreaming really is the key to everything.

Born in Georgia and now based in Los Angeles, Amelia developed a strong connection to music at a very young age. At just four years old, she began playing the violin. As she grew up, she taught herself how to play the piano, showing early signs of independence and creativity.

She was raised in a conservative and religious household, where she had limited exposure to mainstream music. One of the few artists she could listen to was Justin Timberlake. Being homeschooled also meant she didn’t fully experience the rich musical culture of Atlanta. However, she still found ways to express herself artistically through violin and theater.

During her teenage years, Amelia fell in love with theater, which played an important role in helping her understand herself as an artist. This experience led her to pursue a solo career in music. At the age of 13, she began writing her own songs.

Determined to follow her passion, she worked at a fast-food restaurant to pay for her own music training, especially since she didn’t receive much support from her parents. She later joined an artist development program in Atlanta to improve her skills.

After finishing high school, she enrolled at a university in Nashville but eventually decided to drop out. At 18, she moved to Los Angeles to fully focus on her music career.

Her first single, “sweet and sour,” was released in 2021, independently. She moved to Los Angeles at the beginning of the pandemic, a time when live performances were no longer possible. Despite these challenges, she never gave up. Her music and online presence quickly gained attention on platforms like TikTok, where she started sharing her original songs. Even before officially releasing music, she had already gained over 50,000 followers on Spotify and quickly went viral.

In 2022, she released her first EP, teaching a robot to love. Later, in 2025, she released her project he’s still just not that into you! and signed with Republic Records.

Amelia draws strong inspiration from R&B and artists like RAYE, Frank Ocean, Charli XCX, and FKA twigs. Her songs feel less like traditional diary entries and more like intrusive thoughts turned into pop-rock choruses. There’s a conversational sharpness to the way she writes, like you’re reading someone’s late-night notes app after a mental breakdown and somehow it still sounds catchy.

Amelia Moore’s journey shows that, no matter the difficulties, following your instincts is always the best choice. Considering where she came from and the obstacles she faced, her success might have seemed unlikely. But her determination and belief in herself are exactly what made her become a rising star in pop music.
