Meet the Backstage: Jesús Lobo

This week’s Meet the Backstage spotlights Jesús Lobo, a dancer and choreographer whose passion and perseverance have taken him from the streets of Seville to some of the biggest stages in Spain and beyond.

Born in Seville, Spain, in 1992, Jesús showed signs of his talent from a very young age, participating in local dance classes, events, and competitions that revealed his natural talent for movement and expression. By the age of 18, he had already embarked on an international journey, living and performing in China, London, Barcelona, and Madrid.

Like every great artist, Jesús has faced moments of doubt and difficulty. At one point, he even stepped away from dance, working for a short period at Amazon while questioning whether he should continue pursuing his artistic path a time he now calls the hardest period of his life. Yet, through that pause and reflection, he rediscovered his true passion and returned to dance stronger than ever, more determined to chase his dream.

Throughout his journey, family has played a fundamental role. When Jesús decided to move to China at a young age to chase his dream, his parents despite their fears of seeing him go so far offered their full support. His father, in particular, has been a key figure in his career, often stepping into the role of a true manager, guiding and encouraging him along the way.

Over the years, Jesús has built an impressive résumé, performing for artists such as Emilia, Lola Índigo, Tatiana de la Luz, Sharonne, Melody, Chenoa, Violeta, Soraya Arnelas, Jorge González, and Almacor. He also worked as a choreographer for the film “Promoción Fantasma” (RTVE & Mod Producciones) and appeared as a dancer in TV shows like Drag Race and Mask Singer.

Most recently, he performed with Emilia at Los 40 Music Awards 2025, one of Spain’s biggest music award shows a moment that highlights how far his dedication and talent have taken him. Jesús Lobo is only at the beginning of a brilliant career, and there’s no doubt the best is yet to come. Keep your eyes on this rising star his story is just getting started.
