The Night Big Time Rush Made Paris Feel Like 2010 Again

I think every Nickelodeon fan who watched the channel between 2010 and 2013 had the time of their lives last Wednesday at the Zénith. Logan, Carlos, Kendall and James were back, and honestly nothing has changed.

The show opens with the series intro, a song that defined a whole generation and makes anyone start screaming the lyrics in about three seconds. The visuals play like the beginning of a brand-new episode, but this time it is happening live. Then the four of them walk on stage and jump straight into synced singing and dancing. The stage is huge and super cool, a big “hexagon-shaped” structure with ramps and even a trampoline, which makes their movement around the space really fun to watch.

Right at the start, Stephen, our favorite producer, comes in and begins playing the piano. Each band member joins him one by one for a song, and the whole moment feels intimate and special. They stand around the piano in a way that instantly brings back the cozy and nostalgic vibe of the show. Then they all gather again, James sits at the piano and they sing “You’re a Turd”, which was honestly hilarious. We were definitely back at Rocque Records.

The setlist includes every song from the series, all the music from all four seasons. There are countless nostalgic moments, little jokes and gestures that make you feel like you are actually inside a 2025 episode of Big Time Rush. One of the funniest and most nostalgic moments is when Carlos puts on his helmet and Kendall pushes him in a shopping cart while the other two sing.

The show lasts 2 hours and 15 minutes and includes a B-stage. The boys walk all the way there, passing around the entire main floor and doing everything they can to interact with the crowd. They hold hands with fans, talk to people, and even acknowledge everyone seated in the back. Once they reach the B-stage, the barricade becomes the front row and suddenly the “back” of the venue is the closest spot. They really try to connect with everyone, which makes the whole moment feel even more meaningful.

On the B-stage, they play acoustic versions and spend a lot of time looking directly at fans, talking to them and thanking everyone for being there. They even bring out Kendall’s girlfriend from the series, Katelyn Tarver, who is also the opener of the tour, and the moment becomes even sweeter. At the end of this section, they announce that each of them will choose one girl to be their “Worldwide Girl” and join them on the main stage. Each fan sits on a chair while the four guys sing and perform for them. It is a really cute moment, and honestly, every girl has dreamed of being a Worldwide Girl at least once…

Throughout the entire show, the energy was insane. Everyone was dancing, singing and fully present in the moment. The outfits were super creative, and the crowd was full of signs that the boys reacted to or read out loud. They performed the classic choreographies from the series perfectly in sync, and it felt surreal to see the boyband that shaped a whole generation right there in front of us. The night ends with the iconic “Boyfriend”, and I swear it felt like we were back in 2013. It was magical.

The whole show is incredibly well made and clearly designed to take fans back to their childhood and early teen years. At the end, credits roll on the big screen with the full production team, from management to lighting to camera, officially closing this live episode of BTR.
